When you connect to the Internet through our Free Wireless connection

YOU ARE AGREEING TO FOLLOW THE POLICIES OF THE MID-MISSISSIPPI REGIONAL LIBRARY SYSTEM.

 

Anti-virus, security, and privacy protection is the responsibility of the user.

WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THE SECURITY OF YOUR LAPTOP

WHILE IT IS CONNECTED TO OUR NETWORK

--Anyone using the wireless service and the wired connections to our Public Internet Access must abide by the wireless Internet Policy.

--Users who violate the terms of that policy, other library policies or use the network for abusive, malicious or illegal activity will be banned from the network and may be subject to prosecution.

-- LIBRARY STAFF IS NOT ALLOWED TO PROVIDE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE OR CONFIGURE USER'S LAPTOP OR DEVICES OR INSTALL ANY DEVICES OR  SOFTWARE ON THOSE LAPTOPS.

 

THE LIBRARY ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY -

  • for any alterations or interference with a laptop's configuration, operation, or data files resulting from connection to the Library's wireless network; OR

  • for any changes you make to your computers settings; OR

  • for damage, theft, or loss of any kind to a user's equipment, software, data files or other personal property while using the wireless network or brought into or used at the Library.
